Currently Sri Lanka has 2 major International airports and about 10 other smaller airports which at the moment receive Air Taxi Services by Sri Lankan airlines however there will be domestic flights starting soon at these airports.
Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport
It is the busiest airport in the country and one of the busiest airports in South Asia, it handled nearly 7.3 million passengers in 2013, its IATA code is CMB and many International airlines operate flights to this Airport Including Lufthansa, British Airways, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Pakistan International airline, Air India and numerous others.
Hambantota's Mattala Rajapaksa International
Airport is the second largest airport of the country doveloped as southern connection by the former president of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa. The airport is located near his hometown and named after his son. At the moment Sri Lankan airline only flys to this airport.
COLOMBO AIRPORT - RATMALANA
The Ratmalana airport is the oldest airport and in fact it was the only airport in Colombo untill the new Badranaika airport was built. Colombo Airport, Ratmalana is is conveniently located 15km South of the Colombo City.
Colombo Airport, Ratmalana is surrounded with cozy star class hotels, shopping arcades, tranquility of dine out places and areas for sightseeing. One who wish to travel coastal line to relax and unwind to the gentle breeze or taking a long walk on the sun kissed beach, can make their journey via Southern Expressway by entering either from Kottawa or Kahathuduwa embarking points within 30 minutes drive from Colombo Airport, Ratmalana.

Ampara Airport
(IATA: ADP, ICAO: VCCG) is an air force base and domestic airport in Gal Oya in south eastern Sri Lanka.[1][2] Located approximately 7 km (4.3 mi) north west of the town of Ampara, the airport is also known as Gal Oya Airport and SLAF Ampara.
An air strip in Gal Oya near Uhana was built in the 1950s by the Gal Oya Development Board.[3] A Sri Lanka Air Force detachment from SLAF Katunayake moved onto the air strip on 19 December 1989.[4] The Regimental Training Center opened at the base in July 2000.
