Activities and Excursions

Udawalawe National park ? Jeep Safari
The Udawalawe National Park situated in the dry zone of the country and belonging  to Sabaragamuwa & Uva provinces. The park area is 30,821 ha. The park was established in 1972. The park lies within dry zone and small segment lies within intermediate zone. The long dry season is characteristic feature. Main source of rainfall is southwest monsoon and mean annual rainfall is about 1520mm. the mean annual temperature is around 29?C. Park consists of dry lowland forest, riverine forest, thorny scrublands and grasslands. One special attraction of the park is the Udawalawe reservoir and the Walawe River which flows through the park. This park is a home for herds of Elephants. There are approximately between 300-400 Elephants living in the park. Besides Elephants you could also come across Deer, Samber, Hornbills, Peafowl and various other mammals and birds.

Yala National park ? Jeep Safari
Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka's premier eco tourism destinations, lies 24km northeast of Tissamaharama and 290km from Colombo on the southeast coast of Sri  Lanka, spanning a vast 97,878 hectares over the Southern and Uva Provinces. The vegetation in the park comprises predominantly of semi-arid thorny scrub, interspersed with pockets of fairly dense secondary forest. Small patches of mangrove vegetation also occur along the coastal lagoons. The park is renowned for the variety of its Wildlife (most notably its many elephants) and its fine coastline (with associated coral reefs). It also boasts a large number of important cultural ruins, bearing testimony to earlier civilizations and indicating that much of the area used to be populated and well developed. This is the park where the Sri Lankan Leopard locally known as Kotiya is one of the eight known subspecies of leopard is living. It is thought to be one of the largest, although research is still to confirm this. Its coat  is tawny or rusty yellow; stamped with dark spots and rosettes a recent study has shown that Yala (Ruhunu) National Park,  Block 1 has one of the highest densities of leopards in the world.
 

Bentota Water sports
While you are stay in Bentota you can get activities designed to make your stay as  thrilling as possible. With the river on one side and the ocean on the other, this location gives you the rare chance to enjoy best of both worlds. For starters, a host of  water sports that include Water Skiing, Wind Surfing etc is available for you to indulge in. For recreation, you can take part in Beach Volleyball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Aqua Gymnastics and Jogging along the golden sands of the Bentota beach. Go deep sea fishing with the local fishermen and Dive into the depths of the deep blue ocean with our diving instructors. Accommodation Profile: The Serendib Hotel is located on the broad beach of Bentota & one of the most expansive sandy beaches in Asia. It is not the largest, or the most  ornate hotel in Bentota, but it is undoubtedly among the best of the mid-market options and offers particularly good value. Ninety a/c rooms with private balcony or terrace with sea views and ensuite bathrooms with h/w showers.
